Should I share photos of my kids on my website and social media?

As a Personal Brand Photographer, I hear this question regularly.

The argument is that to become more personable and to increase your know, like and trust factor, you should share photos showing what’s important to you. Your kids will fall into this category.

My answer is: It depends!

Fundamentally, I believe that you should do you, and do what feels congruent to you.

And whatever you choose, you can succeed!

You do You!

Meaning, do what works for you, skip what doesn't – even if experts out there are telling you can only succeed by doing it.

So, if putting your kids on your website or social media feels incongruent, then don't do it.

However, if you feel drawn to show a 'personal' facet or two of yours, what images could you show up with instead?

What could you show instead?

What are you into? Think about what you love to do, what brings you joy in life outside of business. Are you into running, yoga, meditation, cooking, baking, journaling, drinking coffee, deep diving, skydiving etc.? Your thing can be fancy, but it doesn't have to be.

So, which of your hobbies/passions/activities feel congruent for you to share?

Pick one, take a photo or many and share about it!
